Arsalan is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of MOST Ventures in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and the former UNDP SDG-Climate Facility Senior Advisor in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Arsalan co-founded a DC-based NGO called La Terminus Foundation (LTF).
LTF helps to resettle refugees and internally displaced people to a better place. Arsalan also serves as a fund management advisor to AV Ventures, a Washington, DC-based impact investment fund, to set up Central Asia Impact Fund in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
He has over 20 years of experience in investment and advisory in frontier and emerging markets. Before joining AV Ventures, he was the Private Sector Facility Senior Advisor at the UN Green Climate Fund (GCF). Before GCF, he was the Regional Program Manager for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) SME Ventures program in Asia and the Middle East.
Arsalan was a technical advisor to various high-profile World Bank projects such as the Kuwait National Fund for SMEs, the Saudi SME Development Authority, Qatar Development Bank, and Yemen’s Youth Development Program.
Arsalan co-founded three successful venture-backed enterprises in the US and Taiwan.
Arsalan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland (2005) and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rhodes College (1994).
